Frequently Asked Questions:

(1.) Are there any sweeteners added to your prickly pear pure blend, if so what are they?

* No, there are no sweetners added to any of our prickly pear products. The prickly pear juice is naturally sweet when it is fresh, and prickly pear is the main ingredient in our Prickly Pear Pure Blend Juice. However there is also a minority blend (15%) of other juices added for the health benefits (synergistic nutrient absorption) and for flavor. (Mango for example helps with inflammation). That 15% includes purees of Alphonso Mango, Banana, and concentrates of pineapple, pear, and passion fruit. You can read more on the first page of my website: web site: www.PricklyPearJuice.org to answer this question in a little further detail. I hope you find the benefit that so many customers are finding (as evidenced by some of the Product Testimonials of customers listed here: http://www.pricklypearjuice.org/product-testimonials.php )

(2.) Do I have to join anything to order? (Is this a Multi Level Marketing plan?)

* No there are NO requirements to join anything. Nor is there a requirement to sign up for repeat purchases. No, this is not a Multi Level Marketing plan.

(3.) How is my payment processed?

* Payments are processed through the reputable PayPal company who handles all financial transactions, but you don't have to sign in or join with them. PayPal gives you 3 payment options: (1.) You can pay with your credit card as a guest without joining PayPal; (2.) You can use PayPal and finance the order and pay the bill later; (3.) If you are already registered with PayPal you can sign in and pay through that account. (Or you can register with them if you are interested. The advantage of registration is that it makes it easier for repeat customers to not have to re-enter their credit card each time they come on the site to buy more juice.)

(4.) Do I take this concentrate straight or mix it with water or juice?

* The bottle has 32 ounces and a serving size is 1 ounce (equivalent of 2 tablespoons). However the label says you can take 1 to 3 fluid ounces daily depending on each person's needs. (That would be the equivalent of 2 to 6 table spoons.) This can be taken straight like a tonic, or you can add your tablespoons to a cup of juice and make a nice drink out of it. It is especially tasty adding it to apple juice. Although the taste is a great bonus, people still buy it for it's health benefits.

(5.) What is the shelf life of the juice concentrate?

* The product has a one year shelf life from it's manufacture date. However once the seal on the bottle is opened, then the product should be refrigerated to maintain it's freshness. A bottle has 32 ounces and the recommended minimum dosage amount is 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) daily. This means a month in the refrigerator would be fine. Although even two months would be good still, no one has tested it 3 months as an opened bottle in the refrigerator to know how many months it would still be good. I'd recommend not opening a bottle until you're ready to begin following the minimum dosage.

(6.) What does it taste like?

* Prickly Pear Pure Blend has a sweet pleasant flavor to it, but if you haven't had prickly pear before, it's hard to describe how it tastes. If any of our customers would like to answer that question, please forward me a reply.

(7.) Observation from one customer: I looked at the product label of my company, and compared it to yours and it appears the product I am using is heavily diluted to say the least.

* Yes, if you compare labels of both companies you can see the first major ingredient of our juice is Prickly Pear Puree, whereas the other leading company's product is water.1. Their third major ingredient is Agave Nectar, and then it is diluted with many other juices, including thickeners (Guar Gum and Xanthum Gum) to give a thicker quality appearance. Our juice does not add Agave Nectar, nor do we have thickners. We only have 15% "other juices" added to enhance the nutritional support and flavor.

(8.) How does this compare to the other nationally advertized Prickly Pear Juice on the market?

This product was developed and positioned to compete with the nationally well-known televised product, but it has these advantages over the competition:

* Less expensive than the leading national prickly pear juice product seen on TV.
* No Agave Nectar, or other sweeteners added.
* More prickly pear puree than the leading national product.
* Delicious tasting concentrate, but not too sweet.
(8.) Customer asked: "I was surprised your product is more tan in color and all prickly pears that I have seen are vibrant magenta. Why is that?"
Prickly Pear fruit comes in a variety of colors including red, yellow, brown, green, and all variations in between. If you're comparing to Tri Vita's Nopalea, then it's not a true comparison because their fruit juice is colored and maintained red by the other juices they add, including beet juice (which as you know is very red). Their main ingredient is water (if you'll look at their ingredients label).
Our main ingredient of the Prickly Pear Pure Blend (as seen in the label) is the puree that comes from the Prickly Pear fruit that grows on top of the Nopal cactus. There is also 2% from the green Nopal cactus itself which adds additional nutritional support. Prickly Pear Pure Blend also has 15% other juices added for flavor and synergistic health benefits (and help with inflammation). These include pineapple and mango which also affects the color a small amount. This is a quality product made in the USA -- and I hope you'll find it helpful for you. Thanks again!
